“Feelings of worth can flourish only in an atmosphere where individual differences are appreciated, mistakes are tolerated, communication is open, and rules are flexible - the kind of atmosphere that is found in a nurturing family.”
I am a Marriage and Family Therapist in Houston, Texas. I was born and raised in Texas, and I am the second born of three in my family. My mother and father raised us with a lot of love and early on, I developed a passion for family, relationships, connection and love. We are a very close knit family, and this cultured my strong passion to support others develop and build strong relationships. My Southern roots positively influence my humanistic therapeutic approach. I wholeheartedly believe all people are innately good, and are doing the best they can at any given time. I value harmony, love, peace, wholeness, and connection within, between & among all relationships!
I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at the University of Texas at Austin in Austin, Texas. I was a federal employee for the Internal Revenue Service for many years in what seems like a lifetime ago before pursuing my calling as a healing agent/therapist. From there I headed to the beautiful Pacific Northwest where I attended Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, Washington and earned my Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy. (I am a very proud Longhorn and Lute! Hook em’ Horns and Go Lutes!)
In my spare time I enjoy reading, spending time with my husband, family and friends, relaxing, watching television, listening to music, cooking and traveling.
